How deep does the snow get in Canada?

Here is a good image of the snow fall across Canada. Can you figure out who gets the most snow? Who gets the least snow? What in the geography causes one area to get so much snow where the other so little snow? What route would you take if you wanted to dogsled across Canada? Where would you rather live?

Canada has four corners

With the introduction of the new Canadian territory of Nunavut the country now has four corners. Four corners describes the intersection of the two territories of Nunavut and Northwest with the two provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba. I challenge you all to answer a few questions about these four corners.
  1. Where else in North America is there four corners?
  2. Nunavut is our newest territory, what year did it become a territory?
  3. What lakes are the Canadian four corners closest to?
  4. Bonus: What is the longitude and latitude of the Canadian four corners?
